About CineKosh

CineKosh is a curated, source-backed guide to new and notable Gujarati films.

Who runs CineKosh

CineKosh is an independent Gujarati film reference, researched from the films themselves and not just their press releases. It is not owned by or connected to any studio, distributor, cinema or streaming service, and its work is signed by the CineKosh Desk. What earns trust here is meant to be the method, not a name: every fact carries its source, and every mistake is listed on the corrections page.

What CineKosh covers

CineKosh does not attempt to catalogue every Gujarati film ever made. We cover new releases as they happen and maintain a selected collection of notable older films. Every entry is chosen for relevance and supported by reliable sources. Older films are selected for their cultural significance, popularity, awards, viewing availability or audience interest.

How a film record is built

Each film is entered individually. Release dates, cast, directors, runtime and certification are checked against public producer or studio announcements and official records. A page states when something has not been published instead of filling the gap with a guess.

How sources are chosen

Different sources answer different questions. A producer or distributor announcement can support a release plan, an official trailer can establish how a film is being presented, a public certification record can support a certificate or runtime, and a ticketing or streaming service can show current availability. One source is not treated as proof of every detail on a page. When two public sources disagree, the record favors the source closest to the fact and the newest clearly dated information, while avoiding claims that cannot be reconciled honestly.

Updates preserve context

Release plans, titles and watch options change. CineKosh updates a maintained film record when better evidence becomes available, but a dated news article remains a record of what was known when it was published. Dates are not refreshed merely to make a page look recent. This distinction lets readers use the film page for current practical details and the article for its original reporting context.

What inclusion means

A film appears because it fits the catalogue’s Gujarati-cinema scope and has enough reliable public information to maintain a useful record. Inclusion is not a review score, award, commercial endorsement or promise that the film will release exactly as first announced. Likewise, a missing title is not a judgment on its quality. The catalogue is selective and grows as verifiable records can be built.

Official videos and streaming

Teasers and trailers are embedded from official YouTube uploads and are never re-hosted. A streaming service is listed only when the film appears on that platform’s own service; the page records when availability was last checked because catalogues change.

What CineKosh does not copy

CineKosh does not reproduce another publication’s articles, collection tables, posters, screenshots or compiled box-office database. An earlier version of this project held a tracker’s collection figures; that dataset has been deleted rather than published.

Box-office claims

If a producer or distributor publicly announces a collection figure, CineKosh may report that factual claim with a link and a clear label. It is presented as that company’s claim, not as an independently verified CineKosh figure.

Corrections and complaints

Film information changes and public records can be incomplete. To report an error, to raise a rights complaint, or to supply official material for your own film, see contact — it lists what each kind of message needs attached. Every correction made so far is listed on the corrections page, and the underlying records are published as open data. What the site records about its visitors is set out under privacy.
